Round Procedure is as follows:

·
If a team

until they are caught up.
·
Exception to
this rule will be made at the end of the season, prior to the final position round.
14. USGA Rules apply
with the following exceptions:
·
Winter rules
include rake & place in sand traps.
·
Lost ball is
one stroke penalty. This does not
include balls that may have gone Out Of Bounds.
·
USGA rules
apply to Out Of Bounds, stroke and distance. If there is question as to whether or not a ball went out of bounds,
it is up to the opponent to ask for a provisional ball to be played. Golf
etiquette calls for the player to re-tee anyways. This is to speed up play.
Players that find there ball out of bounds will not be allowed to go back and re-hit. In this
situation, the player will drop at the estimated point of entry of the out of bounds, not where it landed, and be accessed a two-stroke penalty.
15. Skins & Par-3’s
·
In the event of
a rain-shortened match, all skin money will be held over to the following week.
·
In the event of
a rain-shortened match, if the first par-3 (5 or 13) has been played by all
players and the second par-3 not completed by all players, the money will be
awarded for the first hole and the remaining money held over to the following
week, second par-3 (7 or 17).
*Notes:
·
If you decide to play extra holes, please turn
in your scorecard before you continue!!!
·
Soft spikes
only.
·
Weekly
statistics will be posted on the league website at www.par-takers.com.
·
Around the
greens etiquette: It is inappropriate to stand in the line of sight, behind or
across the green, of an opponent as he stands over his putt. Good golf
etiquette is 30 degrees from line of sight.
·
11th
tee hump protecting 7th tee: Balls ending up on the hump are a free
drop backwards towards the 11th tee.
·
16th
hole garage area: If your ball lands inside the fence, one stroke penalty and
drop as far back as you want towards the 16th tee.
·
Any ball that
comes to rest on mulch surrounding planted trees is a free drop, one club
length, no closer to the hole.
·
If a ball lands
in the halfway house boundary confines (inside the evergreens area only) the player is allowed a free drop as far back as
desired towards the 4th tee.
USGA Refresher:
·
Lateral hazard:
Any area that is marked by red stakes. USGA-One stroke penalty and drop a ball
outside the water hazard within two club-lengths of and not nearer the hole
than (i) the point
where the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard or (ii) a point on
the opposite margin of the water
hazard equidistant from the hole. Not where the ball landed in the hazard.
·
Water hazard: Any
sea, lake, river, pond, creek, drainage ditch or the like that is marked by yellow stakes. USGA-One
stroke penalty and drop a ball anywhere behind the hazard, no closer to the
hole, keeping the hazard and green (pin) in line with the ball being dropped. Exception: designated “Drop” area. Take notice that there are
yellow stakes along the drainage ditch
behind the 10th and 15th greens. A player hitting there
ball over the green area and into the ditch on those holes should be dropping
from the other side of the ditch,
keeping the pin in line with their point of relief. Playing the ball from the
entry side of the creek is playing it as a lateral hazard, which it is not.
There has been no league ruling referring to designated “drop” areas.
·
Playing a ball within a hazard boundary: Any touching of the ball or grounding of a club is
deemed “improving your lie” and is a two-stroke penalty. This includes sand
traps once you have raked and placed your ball.
·
Playing a ball within the area of trees and
bushes: Moving limbs and branches with your
hands, arms or legs is deemed “improving your lie” and is a two-stroke penalty.
